The Sunday Times Brookton Old Time Motor Show

The Next Show is on the 27th of March 2010

Welcome to another beginning of a Walk down the Lane of Motoring History.

On the 27th of March 2010 we will be holding the Old Time Motor show. We are at the moment getting organized with all of the running of the show. Our new theme is plainly, Muscle Cars. Looking forward to seeing Holden Monaros and Toranas, Ford GT’s and Escorts, Valiant Chargers and Pacers. Not forgetting any other tough cars from the 60’s, 70’s or even the 80’s. I’m sure there would be tough Mini Coopers that fit the class and the odd Corvette, Camaro , and Trans-Am. What a list to start with. I sure look forward to hearing all those tough fours, sixes and big V8’s rumbling around in the Grand Parades.

Also again we look forward to a very wide variety of vehicles including everything from pushbikes and chainsaws all the way through to Mack trucks and even army tanks. These vehicles will be of all ages and from all walks of life including cars that went shopping to vehicles that graded, pushed dirt, ploughed, pulled, lifted things, carted freight or even went to war.

Not to forget the wide variety of small stalls and displays in the Family Interest Tents. Chaff cutting and Brookton District High School Jump Rope for Heart group were two displays outside in 2008. Another display was the very popular Fire Brigade mock emergency rescue. People ran from everywhere to see that. I hope we can do most of that again bigger and better in 2010.
